Katy Keating

Managing Director, Lay & Wheeler

Katy Keating joined Lay & Wheeler in early 2016. She led the business through a period of rejuvenation while under Majestic Wine ownership, and then through a sale process in 2019 when it was purchased by a private family. Since returning to independence, the business is undergoing significant investment in its team, its range, and its service as it looks towards an expanded future. 

Previously, Keating ran the service development team at onefinestay, a UK-based hospitality startup, for four years, after a year at the wine-focussed startup Lot18 in New York City. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB from Princeton University, where she majored in French and Italian. Between university and graduate school, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Italy studying artisan cheese. Keating grew up on an organic vegetable farm outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She holds a WSET Diploma, having graduated with merit.
