Michel Reybier
Founder, Michel Reybier Hospitality
A visionary entrepreneur for more than 40 years, Michel Reybier started out in the food industry through distribution, before founding Europe's leading delicatessen group, Aoste, which he sold in 1996. He then invested in vineyards, the hotel industry and health.
Along with his family, Michel Reybier owns Cos d'Estournel in Bordeaux; the Domaine Impérial Tokaj-Hétszölö in Hungary; the Champagne house that holds the Jeeper brand; as well as the more recently-purchased La Mascaronne and La Lauzade estates in Provence.
Michel Reybier began breathing new life into the hospitality industry in 1999 by creating his La Réserve brand, which embodies his avant-garde vision of luxury. At the same time, he actively participated in the Mama Shelter and MOB Hotels adventure. In 2014, he acquired a majority stake in two Swiss hotel groups, marking the birth of Michel Reybier Hospitality, which now manages more than 15 iconic hotels in France, Switzerland and England.
A trailblazer when it comes to the ambitious promise of living better for longer, he co-founded AEVIS-VICTORIA in 2011, which owns the second-largest group of private clinics in Switzerland. He developed Nescens, with the aim of making it the world's leading brand for optimizing health, well-being and performance.
A man of strong convictions who advocates common sense for a better life, Michel Reybier has consistently been able to create sustainable companies with a worldwide reputation, while preserving the dynamism and agility of human-scale structures.
