Ferran has been linked to elBulli project since 1999. He was awarded Best Sommelier in Spain in 2006 (Ruinart), National Gastronomy Award in 2011 and WSET Best Alumni 2020. He started to teach about wine at the age of 23 and continues to do so in many schools through Spain, Chile and Colombia. He holds the WSET Diploma and the Advanced Level of the Court of Master Sommeliers. He is a regular judge in international competitions such as Decanter World Wine, where he is the regional co-Chair for Spain. Furthermore, Ferran is the President of the Sommelier Jury at the Taste Institute (Bruxelles). Nowadays, he is the Spanish specialist for jancisrobinson.com. His main occupation is linked to elBullifoundation as a Drinks Director. He is in charge of writing the “Bullipedia: Sapiens del Vino”, a full wine encyclopedia devoted to gather the wine knowledge for future sommeliers. He has published three books. The first was on food&wine pairing ¿Qué vino con este Pato? (Planeta Gastro); the second, is a Q&A guide titled Las 100,75 preguntas que simepre quiso hacer sobre el vino (Libros de Vanguardia); finally the thirs is called La botella 18.
