Joseph Mounayer is a leading figure in the wine world and the founder and current president of the Association des Sommeliers du Liban. He trains sommeliers in both Lebanon and Sweden and serves as Wine Director for Götaplatsgruppen, one of Sweden’s most respected restaurant groups. Each year, he conducts nearly 350 wine tastings, from entry-level sessions for enthusiasts to advanced professional trainings.

Joseph is also an experienced wine judge, having served on juries for numerous international competitions, including Mondial des Vins Extrêmes, Citadelles du Vin, Mondial des Vins Blancs, among many others.

Known for his precise palate, engaging teaching style, and deep understanding of terroir-driven wines, Joseph has built strong relationships with leading European producers and global markets. His blend of technical expertise, educational leadership, and genuine passion for wine has made him a trusted and influential voice in the international wine community.
