The Estate
Biondi-Santi is the founder of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation. The first vintage was produced by Ferruccio Biondi Santi in 1888, following the groundbreaking idea of producing a pure Sangiovese for long ageing - something never done previously in Tuscany. Since then, the estate has followed Ferruccio's vision, building on the heritage of its wines throughout the generations. An icon of Italian winemaking, Biondi-Santi is known for extremely long-lived, elegant wines, known to push the century mark in exceptional vintages.
