The Experience

Day 1 | Mendoza
Airport collection with a private car service available throughout your stay. Indulge in a two-night stay at the exclusive deluxe residence La Vendimia, the Catena family’s country house and private weekend retreat. Experience a day at the world-renowned Catena Zapata, voted #1 World's Best Vineyard, with a private vineyard tour that will delve into the viticulture and history of the Malbec grape. Take a tour of the Catena Institute of Wine, followed by a vertical tasting of Catena Malbec and a wine-blending masterclass led by Alejandro Vigil, head winemaker at Catena, where you will create your very own limited edition Catena wine, designing a custom label to commemorate your masterpiece. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at the Michelin Guide-recommended Angelica Cocina Maestra, which is celebrated for its innovative "wine first" dining concept.

Day 2 | Mendoza
A day at La Vendimia to relax and unwind. Enjoy a serene horse-drawn carriage ride through the idyllic countryside, engage in a game of ‘bocce’ ball or take a leisurely vineyard stroll. Master the art of Argentine empanada-making in a private cooking class, savour a tasting of local olive oils, and enjoy a lively folklore dance. For lunch, you will experience the traditional ‘asado’, an authentic Argentine barbecue. Dinner promises to be an unforgettable experience at Casa Vigil, a one-star Michelin restaurant where the artistry of winemaker Alejandro Vigil, known as 'the Messi of Wine,' pairs seamlessly with gourmet cuisine, all set against the rustic charm of the vineyard.

Day 3 | Buenos Aires
Spend a night in luxury 5-star accommodation. Embark on a cultural tour with a professional guide taking you through Buenos Aires' vibrant districts, including the bustling Centre and the aristocratic North. Explore the historical Plaza de Mayo, bohemian San Telmo, colourful La Boca Caminito, upscale Puerto Madero, the lush Bosques de Palermo, and finally, the iconic Recoleta Cemetery, stopping en route for lunch at one of the capital's high-end restaurants, to discover the perfect blend of Argentine tradition and culinary innovation. To conclude your incredible Argentina experience, enjoy dinner at Don Julio Restaurant, one of Buenos Aires' most renowned and one-star Michelin steakhouses.

The Estate

Founded in 1902, Catena Zapata is the oldest Argentine family winery still in family hands and is known for its pioneering role in reinventing Malbec and in discovering extreme high-altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills of Mendoza. The trip will be arranged for mutually agreeable dates. While airfare to Argentina is not included, all airport transfers and ground transportation in Buenos Aires and Mendoza are provided for your ultimate comfort. Your bespoke visit will be arranged for mutually agreeable dates, ensuring a seamless and personalised experience. Should Casa La Vendimia not be available, equivalent 5-Star accommodation will be arranged, with activities adjusted to offer similar experiences. Subject to availability, an exclusive meal with a member of the Catena family will be arranged, adding a personal touch to your extraordinary journey.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the Donor of this Auction Lot indicated they will offer an additional Auction Lot to the underbidder. The auctioneers have determined that any underbidder within 10% of the Winning Bidder’s bid shall automatically purchase the additional Auction Lot. (Should you not wish to be included, ensure that your bid is more than 10% below the current Winning Bid price.) For underbidders who more than 10% below the Winning Bidder’s bid, the Auctioneer shall ask the Donor if they are willing to provide an additional lot at this price, and, if so, shall then ask the underbidder if they are willing to purchase the additional Auction Lot.
