Icons of Spain at the Bernabéu
April 2026
On Thursday 9 April 2026, The Golden Vines returned to the Palco de Honor at the Bernabéu for “Icons of Spain”, an intimate, invitation‑only dinner curated in partnership with the Bernabéu 1947 Club. Around forty members of the 1947 Club and Private Seat Licence holders gathered in Real Madrid’s Presidential Suite to experience a four‑hands menu created by the three‑star Michelin team from Atrio and two‑star Michelin chef Ramón Freixa, paired with some of the most emblematic wines in Spain.
The evening opened with a mature cava, Recaredo’s Homage a Josep Mata Capellades 2004, before moving into a rare white Rioja, Marqués de Murrieta Blanco 1986, and a new face of mountain Garnacha with Comando G’s Rumbo al Norte 2015. Guests then enjoyed large formats of Marqués de Murrieta’s Castillo Ygay 2012 and Vega Sicilia Único 2009, alongside wines from Terroir al Límit and an 80‑year‑old Noé Pedro Ximénez from González Byass, with the winemakers and estate owners themselves presenting each wine and sharing the stories behind their chosen vintages.
Icons of Spain is the second chapter in the multi‑year Real Madrid x Golden Vines Connoisseur partnership, following December’s inaugural Bernabéu dinner with Ramón Freixa, and a preview of what the future Bernabéu 1947 Club will offer throughout the season. Bringing world‑class wine and gastronomy into one of the world’s most famous stadiums, the collaboration aims to create “once‑in‑a‑lifetime, and then another one” evenings where great bottles, great cuisine, great people and a great setting come together in a way that feels impossible to replicate elsewhere.
