Lewis Chester, Founder of Liquid Icons and Honorary President of the Gérard Basset Foundation, led a question-and-answer session with hospitality management students at FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality on Tuesday, 9 September, in Miami, FL. Professors Gabriel Urrutia and Kamal Hotchadani engaged Lewis in a wide-ranging discussion on the world of fine wine, covering topics such as how wines are professionally scored and the techniques involved in tasting. The session included a practical demonstration, during which students compared and assessed two wines—one a standard wine and the other a fine wine—applying the methods discussed in class.

FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality is a partner of The Golden Vines, and the Gérard Basset Foundation will be raising funds specifically in support of the Chaplin School through the 2025 Golden Vines Miami edition.
