THE EXPERIENCE

The South African Experience: A comprehensive Creation Experience for eight guests: a private barrel tasting and vineyard safari on foot, followed by Creation’s award-winning Sensorial Wine and Food Pairing.L'expérience Française: An unforgettable two-day tour of Burgundy, guided by the knowledgeable Baptiste Quinard who has access to some of Burgundy’s best kept secrets. Lunches, dinners and accommodation will be recommended but for your own account. Travel to and from Burgundy is also for your own account.

THE ESTATE / DISTILLERY

Perched high on the picturesque Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, Creation is a little piece of paradise, blessed with ancient soils and an enviable climate for producing fine wines, most notably our flagship Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.

The Creation journey began over two decades ago, with sustainability and innovation at the heart of what we do, and key to how we charted our course. In recent years we have been listed no fewer than five times in the top 50 of the World’s Best Vineyards, including three times as No 1 in Africa.

“Creation’s fine wine alchemy is a rare blend of art, science, our people, and a sense of place,” says co-owner and creative director Carolyn Martin. “We live by the motto ‘what grows together, goes together’ and create pairing menus that reflect the region. No one leaves our table without some sense of the journey we have taken together and the role they have played. This is what creates a memorable experience.”

At Creation, we bring culinary heritage to the table, introducing guests to unique, indigenous tastes and aromas. At the same time, wine lovers experience wines of rare balance, elegance and finesse. The combined result is a wellness experience curated by our team together with integrated medicine specialists, leaving guests feeling positively transformed and revitalised.

Of critical importance is Creation’s impact on the surrounding community. Not only are Creation’s team members recruited locally, but they are also given vital technical and soft skills training.

Creation’s support of the Pebbles Hemel-en-Aarde Education Project, which provides schooling and nutritional meals to children from the local community, is well recorded.

Creation now selects graduates from this project to develop what often turn out to be life-changing careers, starting in the Tasting Room or cellar.
