The Estate / Distillery
Established in 1731 in the heart of one of the world’s most treasured terroirs, Bouchard Père & Fils has dedicated over two centuries to nurture, preserve and convey the essence of Burgundy. Backed by their extensive experience in the wine trade, the Bouchard family acquired their first acres of vines in Volnay and Pommard in 1775.
Driven by a single vision, the Henriot family and the Pinault family decided to join forces in 2022. This led to Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils joining the Artémis Domaines group, itself already established in Burgundy on iconic, premium terroirs with the Domaine d'Eugénie and Clos de Tart. Here, we don’t simply craft wine, we bring it to life. From the very heart of the vineyards to the hidden confines of the Château de Beaune, cultivating and winemaking are raised to the highest level of art.
Stretching over 105 hectares, the estate gracefully weaves through a mosaic of individual parcels with three quarters in Premiers and Grands Crus, making it one of the most splendid embodiments of the Burgundian spirit. Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils has committed to a more sustainable viticultural approach since 2009. This initiative is set to lead the entire estate to being certified organic by 2025.
