The Estate
Castiglion del Bosco is one of the largest and most storied estates in Montalcino, as well as one of the founding members of the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium in 1967. A magical place, the estate extends across 2,000 hectares nestled in the Val D’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with 62 hectares under vine. A natural approach to grape growing and up-to-the-minute technology in the cellar have enabled Castiglion del Bosco to achieve the very highest standards in terms of the quality of the wines and a perfect balance in the vineyards.
The core of the production is showcased by 4 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG labels, including the exclusive limited-edition Zodiac, the riserva Millecento, the cru Campo del Drago, Rosso di Montalcino, and a white wine of 100% Chardonnay. The winemaker in the estate is Cecilia Leoneschi. Castiglion del Bosco also produces Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil, gin, grappa, and honey.
The elegant winery embraces the Millecento Wine Club, one of the most exclusive clubs in the wine world, by invitation only, arranging a selection of year-round tours, from Brunello tastings to the art of cheese pairing, as well as select vertical tastings with the oldest of vintages and an annual invitation to experience the harvest.
The Castiglion del Bosco resort is the most authentic expression of Tuscan refinement. Situated in the highest part of the estate, Castiglion del Bosco began its new life with the renovation of the centuries-old village, known as Il Borgo.
