The Experience
A VIP tour, tasting and lunch at Henschke hosted by 5th generation Winemaker & Viticulturist, Stephen & Prue Henschke, for 4 guests. The auction winner and guests will be invited to visit their prized single vineyards, including Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone, before enjoying a paired fine wine lunch featuring unique Henschke wines in their historic Eden Valley cellars.
The Estate / Distillery
Henschke, one of Australia’s oldest family-owned wineries, has been making wine for over 150 years.
Established in 1868, Henschke has forged a reputation for high quality wines through six generations of family grape growing and winemaking tradition in the Eden Valley, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. Building on the legacy left by early generations of the Henschke family, fourth-generation winemaker Cyril was visionary, pioneering single-vineyard wines from extraordinary parcels of old vines in the 1950s.
Today, Stephen and Prue are recognised around the world for their exceptional quality wines, innovation and sustainability in the vineyard. In recent years they have welcomed the sixth-generation into the business - Johann, Justine and Andreas - who are carrying on the family tradition. The Henschke family continue to craft their white wines with a focus on purity, and their red wines with a strong sense of place, leading the way with organic and biodynamic practices, complemented by traditional winemaking. They are mindful of their role as custodians of the Henschke vineyards and their need to nurture them for future generations.
