English Sparkling Wine Experience: A uniquely curated case containing three rare wines from Hundred Hills in a limited edition wooden case: 2016 First Edition, 2019 Blanc de Noirs & 2019 Blanc de Blancs; plus VIP tour for 8 guests includes a walk-around the beautiful vineyards, nestled between ancient woodland in the heart of the Stonor valley. In the winery, we'll show you how years of winemaking tradition, combined with modern scientific advances, come together to help craft the precise and highly distinctive wines of Hundred Hills. In our timber framed dining room, you will have the opportunity to taste a range of rare wines from the estate including a vertical of our library Blanc de Blancs wines in bottles and magnums as well as an early tasting of the successor to the extraordinary 2018 Rosé de Saignée. The Wine
This lot contains a limited edition wooden case from Hundred Hills containing three rare landmark wines from the estate. The case features a bottle of the first ever wine released from Hundred Hills, namely the 2016 First Edition, this highly acclaimed wine was the first to convince Simon Larkin MW of the virtues of English wines and has since sold out to private collectors. It is complemented by a bottle of the 2019 Blanc de Noirs from Hundred Hills, created from a single parcel on the Hillside vineyard, this wine boasts intense layers of fruit; macerated strawberry, raspberries, red apple, Morello cherries and blood orange, and highly rated by Jancis Robinson MW. Finally the case includes a bottle of the 2019 Blanc de Blancs, with intense layers of ripe lemon zest, limes and yuzu, this wine has tremendous potential to age over the coming decades thanks to careful maturation in Rousseau casks.

The Estate
In a quiet corner of Oxfordshire, nestled within the chalky soils of the historic Stonor Valley, a new chapter in English sparkling wine making has begun. Hundred Hills is a single estate vineyard and boutique winery, owned and operated by the Duckett family, who have farmed in England since the days of the Norman Conquest – an unbroken presence for nearly one thousand years.
The Stonor Valley’s idyllic climate and topography has created the opportunity to produce outstanding artisanal vintage wines. Sustainably managed vineyards allow the grapes the freedom to express their own characteristics, vintage after vintage, whether flourishing in the hilltops, basking in sunshine around the amphitheatre or ripening on the valley floor. With a passion for contemporary excellence, from planting vines to popping corks, Hundred Hills rigorously identifies the best sustainable practices, technologies and techniques from around the world. The long search for a quintessentially English vineyard has yielded a very special place in the Stonor Valley where modern craftsmanship prevails in a state-of-the-art winery.

Experience to be taken up within 12 months of the auction.
The experience can be booked on Monday to Friday between 9am to 4pm. Over 18s only. Booking dates are subject to availability. This experience is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in full or in part.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the Donor of this Auction Lot indicated they will offer an additional Auction Lot to the underbidder. The auctioneers have determined that any underbidder within 10% of the Winning Bidder’s bid shall automatically purchase the additional Auction Lot. (Should you not wish to be included, ensure that your bid is more than 10% below the current Winning Bid price.) For underbidders who more than 10% below the Winning Bidder’s bid, the Auctioneer shall ask the Donor if they are willing to provide an additional lot at this price, and, if so, shall then ask the underbidder if they are willing to purchase the additional Auction Lot.
