The Estate

Virginie de Pichon-Longueville, Comtesse de Lalande by marriage, was a hard-working pioneer in the promotion of her wines' reputation and soon lent her name to the estate that would become Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. A true family history, the estate has seen several influential personalities succeed one another, injecting both ambition and modernity. Ideally located in Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde estuary, the property is blessed with an exceptional 114 hectares estate. From the restructuring of its vineyard to the construction of modern technical installations, everything is done to allow the terroir of Pichon Comtesse to fully express itself: a great Pauillac wine, made with elegance and balance between power and sophistication. And since Louis Roederer Champagne house has bought this iconic winery, the promise of an incredible new chapter is held thanks to a motivated and highly invested team. 2000 Pichon Comtesse is the expression of a fantastic terroir dedicated to Cabernet-Sauvignon. 2000 is a Vintage of power and long ageing potential. A typical Pauillac aromatic structure in balance with a typical Comtesse elegant and noble flesh.
